Series Scope and Content Summary

This series represents McKenna's personal administrative files, which she accumulated during her eleven years of service as a member of the SCCBS. McKenna played a key role in promoting government agency ethics, chartered redevelopment projects, children's programs, health, and transportation issues. This series is particularly rich in documenting her work in transportation and children's advocacy in the Silicon Valley. Some of the highlights include the allowance of bicycles on CalTrain, the Kids in Common collaborative, and the creation of the Children's Shelter in 1995.
