Scope and Contents
Another literary magazine created with the aim of publishing student writing from New College, Nightshade began in 1970. Poetry, fiction and other genres are featured. Student Edvins August is a consistent name in all three issues, and his editorial opens the first issue and gives a brief insight into the creation of the magazine. The writing is notable for its frankness and use of profanity.
