Files in this series are arranged alphabetically by format. The series documents Poyadue's considerable efforts towards furthering awareness about parent support networks in the Santa Clara Valley and beyond. Under her direction, Parents Helping Parents (PHP) authored several publications aimed at providing parents with authoritative information about their children's disabilities as well as specialized local resources. Her never ending outreach efforts on behalf of PHP, including motivational speeches given at conferences around the nation, were recognized by countless organizations, and eventually the White House as part of the 1000 Points of Light program. Poyadue also received the Senator Lloyd Bentsen Award at the Surgeon General Conference in 1987.
