Woodmen of the World at Congress Springs
Scope and Contents
Gordon's panoramic negatives contain negatives of group portaits of various organizations. Groups such as small businesses, team sports, religous retreats, and schools. Also included are images of the Santa Clara Valley from the surrounding ranges. Gordon's work illustrates changes in local business ventures such as agriculture, fruit canning and processing, banking, aeronautics, railroads, and other manufacturing businesses. His photographs document everyday life and include images of the Winchester Mystery House, Lick Observatory, store fronts, hospitals, hotels, landscapes, funerals, weddings, parks, and parades.
