Scope and Contents

This series contains 48 folders and concerns the sexual enslavement of women by the Japanese in occupied territories before and during World War II. The main content in this series relates to U.S. Government legislation sponsored by Mike Honda requesting that Japan recognize and make amends for its role in forcing women into sex slavery. The materials in the series include informational booklets, DVDs, magazines, background research, news articles, legislative papers, hearing minutes and notes, committee papers and briefings, and correspondence.
