Programs and Brochures, 1964-1971
Scope and Contents
The materials in this series document musical performances produced by San José State University's Music Department between the years 1921 and 1992. One exception is the inclusion of a San José High School program for a performance named "Noel" (1941) which featured the names of a professor and students of the Music Department. All books are bound by season, while loose programs are arranged chronologically by month and year. Noteworthy performances include Elijah by Felix Mendelson-Bartholdy in 1951, Messiah by Georg Friedrich Handel in 1962, and The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan in 1974.
