This sub-series (bulk c.1926-1936, 1980-1984) contains English, German, and French screenplays written for radio, film, and theater. Hermanns mainly wrote plays during the transitional period between receiving his doctorate in Sociology in 1926 and his stay in France from 1934-1935 after fleeing Germany. He returned to writing plays in the late 1970s, including several religious works.
