The Student Mobilizer, Volume 3, Number 4, April 2, 1970
Scope and Contents
The research materials used by Hermanns are contained in this series and are organized by the research topic he wrote on extensively. The series contains numerous newspaper clippings, publications, flyers, and other documents. Featured in the sub-series on Albert Einstein are clippings from May 2, 1955, in Life Magazine, where Hermanns was interviewed. He also collected many German and English newspapers and clippings which documented the state of German politics in the wake of WWII, the Nuremberg Trials, and the involvement of Communist nations at the beginning of the Cold War. As for his religious studies, he collected many Catholic newsletters and articles throughout the 1940s and 1960s, primarily related to Catholicism's relationship to other religions, including Judaism and liturgical practices. Hermanns compiled his research dossiers for his memoirs which have been kept in their original order and featured both documents, photographs of correspondence, and an illustration of Hermanns. He also collected numerous American and British newspapers relating to the death of Churchill.
Many newspaper clippings were scanned and duplicated due to the original's deteriorated condition.
