This collection contains the scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and various correspondence of the members of the San Jose State College Allenian Society sorority from 1908-2008. Most of the material dates from 1939-2007 and focuses on the Allenian Society’s local activities prior to their merger into the national Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority group in 1949.

The Edwin Markham Family Papers II (1925-1941) includes handwritten correspondence, typed poems, a photograph, and a memorial service program for Markham dated April 20, 1941.

The Edwin Markham Family Papers (1898-1994) includes a variety of documents and photographs chronicling the life of Edwin Markham, noted poet and California State Normal School, San Jose, graduate. This artificial collection includes newspaper clippings, printed poems and pamphlets, photographs, and limited correspondence. The bulk of the material dates from 1910-1940.

The San Jose State Normal School Records collection consists of various types of records created both by admnistration and students. In addition, the collection contains a small number of realia in the form of banners, flags, and the gown of a 1916 Normal School graduate.

The San José State University Architectural Drawings Collection consists primarily of drawings and renderings that document the construction of different library buildings on the San Jose State College campus, including the Central Library Building, Wahlquist Library, the California State Library Faculty Office Building, and the joint King Library.
