Abstract Dr. Dwight E. Bentel was a noted professor of journalism at San Jose State University from 1934 through 1974, as well as the acknowledged founder of the school’s Department of Journalism. Abstract The Dusenbury Family Collection provides a glimpse into the everyday life of members of the Dusenbury family in the 19th century. The bulk of the collection consists of personal letters written to Celestia Deuel (nee Bishop), and other members of the Bishop, Conde, and Warriner Families.
