The material in this series includes administrative and personal files from Edwards' office in Washington, D.C.: Correspondence (1962-1994) including letters of support and monetary contributions; Political Campaign Files dating from the late 1970s to the end of his career in 1994, and include election endorsements and the activities of his opponents; alphabetical (1989-1991) and chronological (1963-1969) subject files; and trip itineraries.

Series Scope and Content Summary From the Series: Originally the constituent files consisted of 202 record boxes, organized according to alphanumeric filing scheme, and by subject files. Because of the personal nature of many of these files, the size of collection, and the projected research value, the alphanumeric records were destroyed, and only the subject files have been retained.
